Today's Virgo New Moon is the most positive-looking New Moon I can remember in a while. Not only is the Moon trine Uranus in Taurus, but the New Moon chart features exact trines between the two benefics - Venus and Jupiter in Libra and Aquarius - and another exact trine between Mars in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn.
Trines indicate places where energy is flowing freely. We haven't had a whole lot of that kind of astrology on offer since the beginning of 2020, so we may feel a little unprepared for it.
Tatiana and I look at these positive energies and explore how you can get the most out of them in the Virgo New Moon Report, which I heartily recommend. (Remember your donation goes to a very worthy cause!)
But I wanted to share a couple short takes from the report with you here.
The Mars-Pluto trine shows the potential to make progress towards our long-range, big picture objectives. Square aspects in astrology tend to force action; something has to happen in order to end the frustration we've been feeling or because the cars behind us are honking their horns and someone's going to ram into us if we don't make a decision and step on the gas.
Trines, on the other hand, tend to highlight processes that are already in motion on some level. The trine in the Virgo New Moon chart indicates that we can focus in, exercise the self-discipline Tatiana talks about in the New Moon Report, and make significant progress or experience a creative breakthrough in the direction of a goal we've already been working towards.
Here's an example that just occurred to me as I was finishing that last paragraph:
I've spent many hours today wrangling one of the tracks from my upcoming sound healing CD into shape. I've been working on this record for months. This track in particular contains a lot of generative elements, meaning there's a certain amount of randomness built in to the composition. In the beginning, everything seemed to come together like magic. And then at some point, one random element would jump out and mess up the balance of the rest of the instrumentation. I'd tame that element and another one would take its place! And today, I was able to see the whole track from a different perspective and make changes that tied the whole thing together in a way that wasn't previously available to me. What a relief! Because I love this music and it's super powerful for healing and protection from the kinds of assault out minds and bodies and spirits have been dealing with since the start of the plandemic and I want to share it with you guys and everyone who needs it.
This is the kind of breakthrough (New Moon-Uranus) that seems to be on offer during this cycle. Perhaps my experience will be a helpful reflection as you tune your intentions over the next few days.
John Sandbach's Omega symbol for the New Moon degree is an inspiring one: "A man wearing paper wings jumps off a cliff and soars through the sky."
Sandbach says this degree can cause paralysis or confusion because we actually know how to get to where we want to go and the best way of accomplishing our goals but people are always telling us that we're doing it wrong. "The secret to success for you is to listen to yourself," he writes.
As Tatiana said in the New Moon Report, it's worth remembering that almost all of the talking heads, celebrities, politicians and social media influencers who are telling you what you should be doing or how you should be thinking, acting, or feeling...are paid actors.
They're actually reading a script! They don't care whether the advice they're dispensing is good for you - they're so separated from their own spirits that they'll gladly read whatever it says on the script in exchange for money, promotion, fame, more followers, etc.
Just by virtue of the work you've already done to heal from trauma, grow in awareness, and find a path with heart, you've earned the right to trust your own inner guidance. In fact, I'd argue the only way out of the mess we've inherited here on our beautiful Earth is all of us who still have the capacity for goodness and right action to stop listening to liars and start listening to ourselves!
